Whistling Stainless Steel Kettle

An electric kettle is faster. A stovetop kettle is the one you keep, because there is no element to burn out, no plastic reservoir to discolour and nothing electronic to fail. This one is food-grade stainless steel throughout, which means it resists rust and corrosion and still looks like itself after years of daily use.

The whistle is the practical part. It sounds the moment the water reaches the boil, which stops the kettle boiling dry while you are in another room and stops water spitting over the hob. The handle is ergonomic with an insulating coating, so it stays cool enough to lift a full kettle without reaching for a cloth every time.

Two capacities are available. At 2.5 litres it covers a household; at 3 litres it covers guests, a full pot of tea and a couple of hot water bottles without a second boil. It works on induction, gas and electric hobs, so it moves with you if your kitchen changes. Three colours are available: white, light green and black. Do not heat it empty, and let it cool before cleaning.
