Noise sets it off: the eyes flare red, the body jerks against its restraints and a run of unsettling sound effects plays. Put it on the porch for trick or treaters, in a window for the street, or along a hallway in a haunted house where visitors pass close enough to set it off themselves.

The trigger is acoustic rather than motion based, so claps, shouts and ordinary conversation nearby are enough to wake it, and there is no remote or pressure pad to position. Two LED lights behind the eyes carry the stare, and the movement is generated inside the figure so it reads even when the prop is hung tight against a wall. Three AA batteries power it, sold separately, and it needs no assembly beyond hanging the rope.

PE and fabric construction keeps the weight down to about half a pound, which means a small hook holds it and the whole thing packs away in a shoebox. Keep it clear of open flame, candles and heat sources, and adult supervision is recommended around children and pets, since a sudden sound and motion effect can startle at close range. Take the batteries out and store it somewhere dry once the season is done.
