At close to life size it reads clearly from the sidewalk, which makes it a natural anchor for a haunted house entrance, a garden path or a driveway display. The reaper is sound activated. A noise nearby wakes it, the eyes flash red, and the figure moves on its own while chilling audio plays, so it reacts to guests instead of running on a loop. The arms bend and hold a pose, letting it beckon visitors forward or raise the chain in warning. Assembly runs to three steps: set the base down, attach the supporting poles, then slide the body over the frame.

The robe and frame suit both indoor rooms and covered outdoor displays. Position the base on level ground, keep the prop out of standing water, and switch it off or disconnect the power in severe weather and whenever it is left unattended. Adult supervision is recommended around children and pets, because the sudden motion, red eyes and loud audio can startle. At the end of the season the body lifts off the poles and packs down flat.
