This one leans science fiction rather than graveyard. A gray alien floats suspended inside a tall stasis pod, arms loose, eyes open, as if the capsule were pulled off a crashed ship and dropped on your lawn. At seven and a half feet it reads from across the street, and a green disco light swirls inside the pod, throwing moving specks across the fabric so the capsule looks like it is about to crack open.

Bright LED lighting handles general visibility while the rotating green light does the atmosphere. Setup is the usual two steps: zip the base, plug it in, and the unit inflates itself in minutes with no frame to assemble. Three sandbags are already built into the base for ballast, and the two wind ropes and six ground stakes in the box pin it to a lawn, path or garden bed. Unzip it and it deflates just as fast.

The shell is waterproof, fade resistant and tear resistant polyester that shrugs off rain, snow and sun through changing fall weather. It is made for outdoor display, but the unit should be unplugged in high wind or severe weather and whenever it is left unattended. Adult supervision is recommended around children and pets near the power cord, blower intake and anchor lines. Dry the fabric completely before folding it for off season storage.
